Thirstday| God provides (even) the offering

I’ve repeatedly read the story of how Abraham sacrificed his son Isaac before. This verse, however, about Abraham’s unmoving confidence that God will provide the offering registered to me.

Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.

God is concerned not just in the offering but the character we have every time we offer something. He even provides for what we have to offer. What he wants to see is our full trust to be in him. He wants us to depend on him and not be greedy of the blessings he gives nor be worried that nothing will be left in the end. He shows in this verse how powerful and abundant his recources can be so we can fully cast all our cares upon him.
