China Gate is an old Chinese restaurant in Jeddah. It was already here when my family moved here over 15 years ago.
⛩It has hosted many events like birthday parties and meetings for organizations here in Jeddah. My kids’ first birthdays were all here because we found it more convenient to have all the foods prepared for the guests. Less preparation on our part.
It has recently improved many things from design to brighter lights but the foods are still the same. As in the same! 😬😁 I’m not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing for restaurants. Well, maybe if the food tastes good then it’s okay to have the same set of dishes.
The place looks a lot modern now. It has let go of the traditional red and gold Chinese decorations. It looks more like a combination Sushi Yoshi and Baytoti restaurant. The interior is way brighter now, which is the trend that I see in many places and restaurants here in Jeddah. You can look at my blog post about Chuck E.Cheese, Jeddah which is another example of a place that went from dim to brighter interiors.
Here’s a quick tour of China Gate. I included the contact number at the end of the video if you need catering or delivery services.
