DIY (Do-It-Yourself) items have been trending lately. I believe it’s because you can save money using old items or you can just really design the item you want according to your style.
One unventured, but really useful area of craft is the polymer clay art. Did you know that you can make great items with this inexpensive material? The best thing is, it’s just like molding Play-Doh. I’ve done some cute items with my 3 yr. old son, and I find this activity really great for kids. They can even make their own toys!!! Imagine that! =) I’m targeting to do Baymax from the Big Hero 6 soon. =)
Here are some things you can do with polymer clay:
Charms for bracelets and necklaces. It’s very easy especially if you have molds. The tutorials on Youtube can help even beginners on how to start this new hobby.
Earrings. From very simple earrings to the gorgeous ones. Yes, all made from polymer clay!
Keychains and souvenir items for birthdays. Like this Baymax keychain. =)
Paperclips and bookmarks for book lovers. =)
So many possibilities. You can make polymer clay items for personal or for business purposes.
If you are in Jeddah, you may buy very affordable polymer clay supplies from CLAY ART OF JEDDAH. There’s an FB page where you can see the available clay colors and materials needed for polymer art. =)
