Photography | Stopovers

I took these photos during a stopover from Jeddah to Yanbu.

In the middle of the desert, there’s really not too many options for subjects to use for photography. You just have to look further to find something to take photos of or it will be just deserts for take home memories. 😁

Under the Bridge

Just lowered the exposure for this one. I’m using iphone8 plus’ camera.

This is how it actually looks like without playing with the exposure.

The first one looks more dramatic. 😁

How to lower the Iphone camera’s exposure.

  1. Open the camera app.
  2. Tap the screen and wait for the yellow square with a little sun beside it to appear.
  3. Slide down your finger to lower the exposure (picture gets darker except for the lit parts), slide up on the screen to increase it (brighter and makes the shaded parts ‘exposed’). πŸ˜‚
  4. Take a photo.

Bridge

Nothing spectacular in this photo. It is not even centered because our car was not parked in the middle.

Sun

I played with exposure for these photos below.

Instead of tapping the sun here, I realized that tapping on the lower left or right gives better result.

I was aiming for a silhouette look. This photo below was close to that.

Here’s a link to the youtube video on how to do it. πŸ˜ƒ Enjoy!
