Pain vs. Reward

october-blog-pain reward

To end a pain prematurely
Or to experience quick relief
Is not  always the best answer to end our situation

This is the last month of pregnancy
All I want is to end the difficulties
But doing it now
Before the appointed time
May do harm on the baby

The same with our pains and difficulties in life
Some cannot just end prematurely
They have to accomplish their purposes in us
Only then can we appreciate the reward that awaits

My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything. James 1:2-4

I’ve commanded you to bestrong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go. Joshua- 1:9

  1. I totally get you. This reminds me of when I was in labor around 7 weeks ago. The anesthesiologist didn’t arrive on time and so I was on super duper pain and gave birth sans anesthesia. I kept telling myself the pain won’t last forever and the baby will come out when it’s ready. Was so proud I got through it. 🙂
