He Satisfies

There may be plans and dreams we wish we could have now like :

  • Be a millionaire
  • Have a house and lot
  • Own a company
  • Great family
  • Latest gadgets
  • Fast internet connection?!
  • Great company
  • Etc.

But God satisfies us with what we have now. We just have to look at things as how God sees them. Only then can we find happiness and contentment in the present situation that we have. We just have to make the most out of it.

But he would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” Psalm 81:16

  1. There is nothing wrong in dreaming or planning to achieve something because it makes us inspired and motivated. But the problem is, if we are so focus on it and we feel empty if we did not get it. The secret of contentment is Jesus.

  2. True. Everyone wants a comfortable life with everything that you need. Sometimes we dream too much and never get contented. Only to realize God already give us what we just need, just enough 🙂

  3. When I was younger, I always wanted more. I finally was able to learn to be content with what I had when I “grew up”. 🙂 This is something I try to teach my kids now.

  4. I agree with Michi. And I think what would be wrong is if we are so focus on the earthly goals that we forget about our spiritual goals. That happened to me when I was starting my career in the corporate world. I ended up feeling empty and depressed most of the time. Good thing I’ve found my way back and it is through Jesus. 🙂

  5. Words to live by, really. As in post it somewhere where we can see it so we’ll always remember. Many times, we forget and focus on our many wants and get frustrated when we don’t get all of them. Thanks for reminding. 🙂

  6. Indeed true. As Mommy Cheng described, truly words to live by. I always aim to remind my boys of these things so they live a happy and contented life. And more than that, they listen to and find comfort in the Lord.

  7. Amen to this! It is God that satisfies. Many on your list are the things that I also wish for me and my family. My husband and I are working hard to be able to have a better financial status for the future of our son. I can’t say I’m rich but we are happy with what we have now, a simple life and a few amount from our salary to save. If not for the satisfaction that God gives, we wouldn’t be contented.

  8. I may not be rich in materials thing but I am happy that God gave me a very loving and supportive family, same that I have a husband who is always be there for me. And I also thanked God for giving me a wonderful and healthy kid. I surrender everything to the God and I will accept what is His will for us
