Keep Going

We grow in every difficult situation.

Facing a difficult situation can really give us a hard time. We can’t eat right, we can’t think properly, and we may even have a hard time facing people who used to be close to us. Unfortunately, to stop, is not the best option.

Straining forward

We don’t put an end to schooling just because the quiz is difficult. We continue coming to school, no matter how hard exams are. We face every naughty classmate, every tough teacher, and every inconvenient recitation that could embarrass us in front of our friends.  We continue, because  there’s a sweet reward after. We go on learning because we can’t stop at just knowing ABC’s and 123’s. We want to know how to read, we want to know how to add, to solve problems. We want to gain more knowledge, because we believe they will come handy and very useful in the years to come.

In life, we continue to work and face every colleague who is lazy, every boss who seems to not care about our hard work. We endure…until we find joy and have a new perspective of our journey. We endure until the end. Until it’s all over.

We endure. Above all, because it’s a process. We can’t be a child forever. We have to grow.  We can’t stop walking just because we’ve tripped over some stones as a child. We press on. We move to greater heights. No matter how tough the challenges are. We grow in every difficult task we face.

Whenever we pass that dark valleys of life, we must remember to move forward. When the cloud of troubles pass by, keep going, it won’t remain forever. When storms come, they just pass. They don’t stay. The sun doesn’t disappear either. The same as everything happening in us. God is always there. The problems that we focus on, hides our vision of the one who can help us. In all these challenges, keep moving. Crawl, take little steps if you want, just keep moving. Never give up. One thing is for sure, great rewards are waiting for those who have endured.

But when the darkness of dismay comes, endure until it is over, because out of it will come the ability to follow Jesus truly, which brings inexpressibly wonderful joy. -Utmost For His Highest

  1. This is inspiring. Lately, I have been reading more blog posts and most that I have read are about product reviews. This then is something new and refreshing. God works in mysterious ways indeed. I am needing a similar encouragement and here I am reading this now. Thank you.

  2. Yes! There are so many times in life when we don’t have any other choice but to keep going. And with God’s help, the task becomes lighter. Praise God for his grace and help.

  3. Since we homeschool, we try to give our children other avenues to practice this value. For example, my eldest son is puzzled nowadays at how different the values are of some of his Musical Theater classmates from us. And other things, too. And I tell him that the world is filled with different types of people. And the world does not always offer an easy way out. But we stick when it is the right thing to do, and we become salt and light to other people. 🙂
