DIY Accessories

Making your own accessories can be so easy and inexpensive (really inexpensive if you compare it to the mall prices). Besides, you can create designs that suits your taste. =)

I am just so overwhelmed at the thought that I’m making accessories/jewelry again. I remember doing this at around the age of 10 to 12 and selling bead bracelets and clips to my friends. This is a hobby for me. I find it very easy and very fulfilling to do. I just love doing crafts or tinkering with small items around.

I found tools and supplies in Exo- Souq Al-Sharq and Exo-Flamingo mall, so I started immediately! 🙂

Anyway, here are some of the earrings I made last week:

“I love Paris ” earrings.
BIG LEAF earrings
KEY earrings
FLOWER earrings
SMALL LEAF earrings

I love you -star earrings
black pearl earrings
Green pearl and stone earrings

This collection of the stud earrings that I’ve made is simple but elegant to look at. Check them here:

Sometimes, I also make necklaces, not for me, but for friends who ask me to make one for them. Like here below:

  1. I used to make mine as well, i get the supplies from Quiapo… Oh how i miss going there and splurging, they have it all there! It’s one of my happy place. Great pieces you got there by the way!

    1. Thanks. I tried Quiapo before but with a friend. I think I need to go there one time with someone who knows where the suppliers are coz I can easily get lost there. =)

  2. About 8 years ago, I got hooked to beading/jewelry making that I scoured Divisoria and Quiapo finding the tools and the beads, as well as going through all the shelves at Booksale to find beading/jewelry making book or magazine that wouldn’t cost me an arm and leg. LOL! I got the basics and I was able to make a few simple beaded earrings, some of which I wore, some I gave away. Unfortunately, the hobby didn’t last long enough for me to improve the skill. Maybe I’ll try it again. I still have a box of beads stashed away but I no longer have the tools.

  3. I attended a free workshop in making jewelry but I did not pay much attention because I’m not into accessories or baka excited na kasi ko maglunch. hehehe! Your DIY accessories are all nice and it is also a nice gift to your friends and families. 🙂

  4. When I was still single and was working in a 9am-6pm job, I used to make chandelier earrings. People would even buy them. The other day when I was cleaning my closet, I saw my beads from Quiapo and became wistful. Now this. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  5. Wow! We could really do a lot and a lot more beautiful if we only try to be creative and trust ourselves that we could do them. But then, you are so talented. Iba rin talaga kapag talented. Ehehe.
