Dive Into These Desserts

I normally find myself hitting the desserts first whenever there’s a buffet or a gathering where different dishes flood the table.

Dardasha desserts

I do that, mainly because everyone is digging into the main dishes, making the place crowded. 🙂 So I go to the ‘road less traveled’ haha. Second, desserts are usually fewer.

Here are some of the very tempting desserts from Park Hyatt’s Dardasha restaurant:

A tinge of gold
orange flowers on top
Strawberries
Mangoes
Chocolate
Red velvet
Arabian lanterns

First day of the year, my whole family went to Dardasha restaurant’s BBQ night. Dardasha is inside Park Hyatt, Jeddah and offers BBQ Night every weekend from 9pm-1am.

How about you? Were did you spend your New Year?

  1. I guess there are no rules that we could no eat dessert first. We’ve experienced that when we attended an event and they allowed us to eat snacks and desserts na because the meals are not yet ready. Umiinit na ulo ng mga tao sa gutom kasi. hehehe!

  2. I don’t go with desserts right away pag buffet. But, desserts is always in mind. So before hitting the buffet table, I know I can’t get lots of meals, I need to reserve space for more desserts later on. haha. Now I remember the desserts buffet near us, it’s been years since I last got there!

  3. Those are real tempting desserts. On buffets, I would usually be the last to get food to avoid the crowd and long line. And often, I would end up getting the smallest part of the chicken for instance. Nonetheless, I still let others get their share first. But desserts are always in my mind. I get to eat them last as I would always want to.save the best for last. Ihihi.

  4. In fairness, I like your buffet strategy. I will try that next time, haha! We spent NYE at my husband’s fire station. They’re on red alert on holidays so we go to him instead and celebrate with the whole crew.

  5. I always get excited to get desserts in a buffet-style restaurant. I couldn’t wait to finish the main. Maybe I should try your style. 🙂

  6. Well, i spent my new year’s night with my friends, you know, just playing around and doing some stuff. Btw i’d like to eat the chocolate dessert, it looks so delicious

  7. OMG! I have a sweet tooth. Minsan sinasabihan na ko ng friends ko na wag na masyado mag sweets. Kaso ang sarap e. hehe. Favorite ko rin kapag buffet or may gathering ang desserts. Wah, nakakatakam naman yan 🙂

  8. I usually leave more than enough room for desserts. Haha! What can I say? They’re the perfect way to end a meal especially when paired with coffee. 🙂

  9. That’s one idea I haven’t tried yet, getting dessert first! I have a huge sweet tooth so I probably won’t have any idea with that lol. And those desserts look divine!

  10. OMG! These are mouth watering, Posts like this makes me wanna go out and splurge on desserts! Is it expensive to dine in restaurants like this in Jeddah? I am curious because my HS friends are forcing us to visit them in Jeddah but we haven’t made up our minds yet.

    1. I think it’s close to what we have in the Philippines. The cost ranges from 120 riyals onwards for most hotels. 🙂 It’s less 100 for other restaurants.

  11. I am such a sucker for desserts, lalo pag nasa buffet. Hahaha! I always leave room for desserts because a meal will never be complete without it, well for me 🙂

  12. Desserts are one of my weakness. We celebrated NYE at home. I just cook simple meal for us since I’m not feeling well that day and my husband still need to work that day.
