Destiny May Affect Relationships

There are times we get involved with people who stops us from reaching the destiny God has for us. These people keep on getting entangled in the middle of our journey that causes us to pause, not because we have to, but because they have to, or because they need to be ‘saved’ from the tough road of our journey. This video by Pastor Sumrall is a very eye-opening message on what to do with these people and continue pursuing the journey and the destiny that awaits us.

I have heard the story of Lot and Abraham before, but this one takes a different angle. More on the human and relational part, and it actually makes sense.

Dispute with the livestock

When God called Abraham, the destiny that awaits was for him, but Lot came along with him. Lot became blessed as well, but this was associated with the blessing of Abraham.

Escape from Sodom & Gomorrah

Throughout their journey, Lot would always be in the position where Abraham would have that heartfelt intercession with God. God needed to destroy Sodom, but Lot was there. It would have been easy for God to just destroy the place where sin was too prevalent, but Lot was there. Lot’s stay caused Abraham heartaches throughout the journey.

If you think you need this message, watch this short video. =) I’d love to make a transcript of the video, but I just can’t right now. =) Enjoy!

  1. I love how Pastor Sumrall interprets and preaches. And I would love to check his other videos. Thank you for introducing me to his talks.

  2. I can definitely relate to this. It took a long time and a lot of heartaches for me to realize the truth. But at least I realized it and turned things around. 🙂
